Live chat window?

I believe there was a live chat window you could use for PhpBB. Could that help in quick communication?

Scroll down to the bottom and hit log in.

Those who are not registered with the site will not be able to talk in chat.

Isn't there a way to show what was typed in without hitting the log in button?

you can set access to certain forums and/or the chat window to allow un-registered (or un-logged-in) members to see it or even post without logging in.

OK the only way I can give chatbox permissions to guests is to have it as a widget at the side... How's that for everyone? Bit too narrow?

Isn't there a way to incorporate a shoutbox into the homepage rather than a chat-box on a separate page?
like the one here: http://dkguildalliance.freeforhosting.com/ (that's a forum I used for testing stuff)

After trying several chat/shoutbox widgets in various positions I think I've settled on the ShoutMix one on the left... It's kinda bare-bones simple but it works well on PS3, which I personally feel is a huge bonus on a forum for a PS3-exclusive game,

I might change it again if I stumble across something much better, or if everyone really hates it, but what do y'all think about position/size/colour/font size etc.?
