any one think this is a good idea i don't even know if this is possible but on other forums u go up ranks as u post and get + or - rep for posts just an idea i had.

dont we have a post count list on the member section? Or are you asking for a more formal one with titles and stuFf?

see where it says "posts: xx" on the left under the person's display picture, I think he means have a title there too based on the actual number of posts.

As far as I know that feature is built into PHPBB by default, so it should be easy to implement.

I think the defaults in PHPBB are something like: member, rank 1, rank 2, rank 3, etc.

So yeah something better should probably be thought of.

I'd propose something RPG-themed (goblin, mage, dragon-slayer, etc) rather than forum related (forum-troll, advanced poster, etc).

This is easy enough to do, we just have to decide on the rank titles and the post count required for each rank.

RPG-themed sounds good, and I'd suggest a new rank every 25 posts until 100, then maybe every 100 posts after that, but that's up for debate...

So suggestions please, you can copy and paste this list and when its finished I'll set it up:

1. 0 posts - Rat?
2. 25 posts - Goblin
3. 50 posts -
4. 75 posts -
5. 100 posts -
6. 200 posts -
7. 300 posts -
8. 400 posts -
9. 500 posts -
10. 600 posts -
11. 700 posts -
12. 800 posts -
13. 900 posts -
14. 1000 posts -
15. 2000 posts -
16. 5000 posts -

there's a way around that...kinda long-winded though..
In standard PHPBB you can add admin permissionss to a person (yourself in this case) without making them an admin by removing said person from the admin GROUP and editing their USER permissions to match that of a admin (full control basically). I think you still need to have 1 account in the admin group though (you can make a "ghost" account if this is the case).

also...depending on the plugins/mods installed you might be able to remove the "admin" tag from the admin group.
