Restoration Mage Empty
PostSubject: Restoration Mage   Restoration Mage I_icon_minitimeMon Nov 12, 2012 5:20 pm

So, I created a restoration mage because I was tired of how squishy I was as a meteor mage and I thought it would be fun to heal other players. All of the info below is for a level 75. The trick is to stack energy, mp, and mp regen and forget about all other stats. Having high magic resistance was a happy accident. Its not needed but its nice. Most of the skills are designed to prevent melee damage. You want to use the stun fairy to prevent attacks if Magnetic Shield and Hex Shield don't activate.

Stats with no gear:
Str=5
Dex=7
End=7
Energy=163(all points in energy)

Stats with gear:
Str=19
Dex=14
End=21
Energy=184

Gear list:
Immortal Staff: 300 Fire Damage, +150 MP, +12 MP Regen, +16 magic resistance
Prophetic Torso: +150 MP, +12 MP Regen, +16 magic resistance, +56% to find gold
Sorcerer Head: +12 MP Regen, +7 Dex, +7 Energy, +16 magic resistance
Sorcerer Hands: +7 Str, +7 End, +150 MP, +12 MP Regen
Sorcerer Feet: +150 HP, +12 HP Regen, +12 MP Regen, +16 magic resistance
Orator's Waist: +7 Str, +7 Energy, +12 MP Regen, +16 magic resistance
Prophetic Ring: +7 Energy, +150 MP, +12 MP Regen, +16 magic resistance
Moonstone Ring: +7 Dex, +7 End, +150 MP, +12 MP Regen

Skills:
Magnetic Shield(10/10): Stuns enemies attacking you. It prevents melee damage.
Rejuvenate(10/10): Heals yourself and other players. This is your most useful spell. Just look at your health and the other players' and use it accordingly.
Artificer(3/10): There aren't any other places worth putting points into and its nice having a stronger staff.
Blast(1/10): Keeps enemies away from you. You only want one point in this so you can spam it and still have plenty of MP for Rejuvenate.
Spell Mastery(10/10): Improves spells overall and makes Blast actually damaging even though you only have one point in it.
Channeller(10/10): This is probably your most useful passive skill.
Hex Shield(10/10): Keeps enemies away from you.
Energise(10/10): Regens your's and your party's MP. You need this for long boss fights.
Fairy Blood(10/10): Since you only have Blast as a damaging active spell, having 10 points in this makes it almost the same as having another damaging spell. You can use it every 20 seconds instead of 1 minute.

How to play this build: Its pretty simple. You are a one to two hit kill so DON'T GET HIT! Ideally, you want to stay in a safe place between your party members so you can heal them at the same time. You have to be a little close to them though. Otherwise, just run around to each of them and heal them individually depending on who needs more healing. Energise is more useful for your teammates than you but its helpful for you on long boss fights. You want to use it on your party members when you see them low on MP. Warning: This build is almost useless on Single Player mode. Like all my other posts, if you find a way to improve this build, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thanks. Smile
